Super excited to get my brand new MOO business cards!! I totally love them! Thanks MOO, what a fantastic job!
Spoiler alert: new website coming soon! ;-)
This is my daily view here in LA on my morning runs :-) It never gets old.
Check out more fun facts about my morning routine in this Instagram post.
Inspired by Katy Perry's Instagram stories, trying on makeup designs for her upcoming 'Witness' tour.

This year I was most inspired by Desigual at New York Fashion Week 2017. The fun head pieces, the explosion of color, the playful designs, not to mention a runway full of movement! So much fun!
On Friday I went to a beach party in Santa Monica with old architecture co-workers and my bestie, Natalie. So I treated myself to some plein air painting of beach-club lifestyle and fresh patio fashions for Week 19 of 52 Live Fashion Stories! Yaasss!!
The finished piece.
No trip to the beach is complete without at least a toe dip in the ocean! :-)
A little inspiration, a little toe dipping ...
So excited for the brand-new September/October 2017 issue of the Sew Sew Def magazine that just came out today! You can check it out here, along with my two new pattern illustrations for the sewing freebies in this issue: The Mimi, a relaxed and flattering batwing dress, and The Levine, men’s cargo pants with pockets and seam detailing.
And check out the previous magazine issues, too: Issue 01, Issue 02, Issue 03 and Issue 04.
I had soooo much fun illustrating these two new patterns!
The Mimi feels as easy breezy as the iconic white Carrie Bradshaw Halston Heritage in Sex and the City 2.
And The Levine cargos are awesome, with their skinny profile and cargo pockets!
Lots of fun in the studio this long Labor Day weekend, and I couldn't wait for the magazine to come out today! :-)
Stay tuned for the next issue coming out in November.
Last week, for Week 16 of 52 Live Fashion Stories I was inspired by ‘Draw This’ on YouTube, a live figure drawing studio in Huntington Beach, just a little south of LA. This is one of their live models, Meisha, with cool orange-red hair! So fire!
Last Friday I got to paint not one, but three adorable little kids for Week 15 of my 52 Live Fashion Stories. I don't usually get to paint kids live since they move fast as lightning and they're so hard to capture on the spot ;-) But we all managed quite well, with treats like cheese and phone games as bribes :-))
First up, cutie pie little Alexis and her sweet mom Eileen.
Tina also brought her cute daughters with her, Alex and Olive.
Alex' portrait, and some serious cuteness here!
How adorable is she!!
Cutie Olive, Alex' little sis!
Last, but not least, I painted Shani's portrait, who not only has the most amazing curls, but as it turns out, makes these cute slides, too!
Her reaction says it all! :-)
So fun meeting and painting all of you guys, thanks for coming out! :-)
Follow me on Instagram @ct_sketches to be the first to know when I'll be painting live again! And maybe you'll be the next portrait I paint.
